🚒🔥 FIRE SAFETY FUN AT JOHNSTONVILLE SCHOOL! 🔥🚒
CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc Unit personnel, alongside SUSAN RIVER FIRE District, recently visited Johnstonville Elementary School for a fun day of fire safety education!
Students in transitional kindergarten through second grade learned important lessons to help keep themselves and their families safe. They got to see and hear what a firefighter wearing full protective gear may look and sound like when entering a home during an emergency, practiced how to safely get out of the house during a fire, and learned the importance of having a designated family meeting spot.
Students also played interactive games focused on “Tools, Not Toys” and other important fire safety lessons. To top off the day, they even got to enjoy a ride on a Susan River fire engine! Our very own Dr. Smith drove one of the Susan River fire engines 🚒
Thank you to Cal Fire Lassen Modoc Unit and Susan River Fire Protection District for teaching our students what to do in case of a fire emergency. Our students learned fire safety and had fun while doing it!
