Park Hours: Sunrise to Sunset except in lighted areas and during permitted events. While Cascades Park is a storm water facility, it also doubles as a unique urban park, offering many outdoor amenities. These amenities include a state-of-the-art amphitheater, interactive play plaza, Discovery Garden children's play area, Smokey Hollow historic area and miles of multi-use paths for walking, jogging or biking. Grab your camera and come to Cascades Park! Here are 5 fun photo challenge ideas to try:
🌻 Set a theme for the day and only photograph things that match it, like dogs, flowers, water, etc.
🌄 Concentrate on landscapes where you can stitch images together in editing for a wide panoramic view.
🎨 Focus on highlighting one color. With multiple visits, you can work your way through them all!
🍁 With friends, do a timed scavenger hunt for common items. Build your list, pick a starting point and snap away as you scurry around before meeting back up to compare images.
🔬 Go macro! From morning dew on grass to tiny creatures on flowers, the smallest details can make a big photo impact.

🍿Make memories at Movies in the Moonlight! Enjoy a free, family friendly movie in Cascades Park tonight, Saturday, Oct. 17.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Adderley Amphitheater. Games begin in the park at 6 p.m. Tag a friend in the comments so no one misses out!

Reminder: Free, out-of-this-world fun launches at Movies in the Moonlight this weekend on October 17!

An array of Mario-themed family fun, as well as photo spots with toad-ally iconic props, kick off at 6 p.m. in the Adderley Amphitheater, and the movie begins at 7:30 p.m.

Add to the enjoyment by dressing as your favorite character from the Mushroom Kingdom!

Attendees can enjoy a complimentary bag of popcorn (while supplies last), and food vendors will be on-site offering a variety of dinner options, snacks and treats.

Seats in the Adderley Amphitheater are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can also bring a blanket and watch the movie from the grass at the back of the amphitheater.
