Making a Difference Through Street Outreach! 💙✨

This weekend, we had the privilege of helping 175 people facing life’s challenges by providing food, clothing, blankets, and other essential items. It was a beautiful reminder that even small acts of kindness can create a big impact.

A huge shoutout to the 25 volunteers from the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board and 10 volunteers from Whole Foods - Carrollwood who showed up ready to serve! 🙌 Whether handing out meals, offering a listening ear, or simply sharing a smile, their generosity and compassion made a real difference.

Together, we are building a stronger, more caring community. 💛 Thank you to everyone who supports this mission!

When our community comes together, amazing things happen! 💙 David desperately needed an electronic wheelchair to make his life a little easier, and thanks to the Tampa Bay community, we made it happen! 🙌

🌟 The Power of Street Outreach 🌟

Street outreach is essential in bringing hope and resources to those experiencing homelessness. 💙 It’s not just about providing necessities—it’s about showing compassion, building trust, and reminding people they are not forgotten.

This vital work would not be possible without the incredible support of our community. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to:

🚔 Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department
👧 Kids 4 A Cause
🧸 Bear Bottoms
⛪ Unity North Tampa Church

Your contributions have provided coats, blankets, toiletries, clothing, and so much more to those who need it most.

And to our amazing volunteers—your time, energy, and kindness are what make this outreach possible. You are the heart of Unbroken Dreams, and we are endlessly grateful for you! ❤️

Together, we are making a difference—one person, one act of kindness at a time. 🙏

Hillsborough Cold Weather Shelters to Open Four Nights this Week

Hillsborough County’s cold weather shelters program will be activated this week from Monday night, Jan. 6, through Thursday night, Jan. 9, for the homeless and those who live in homes without adequate heat who are unable to find other accommodations. The National Weather Service expects local temperatures to dip to or below 40 degrees with wind chill in Hillsborough County for most of the week.

Shelter organizers are expecting high demand with limited capacity, so residents who need a warm place to stay are encouraged to use all resources like friends and family as a first option.

Hillsborough County is partnering with the following organizations to provide limited-capacity cold weather shelters for adults. All shelters will accept guests from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, unless they reach capacity prior to that time.

Church of God of Prophecy Hyde Park, 107 S. Oregon Ave., Tampa, FL 33606
Hyde Park United Methodist Church, 500 W. Platt St., Tampa, 33606
Tampa Bay Mission of Hope, 212 S. St. Cloud Ave. Building A, Valrico, FL 33594
Amazing Love Ministries, 3304 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa, FL 33605

All congregate shelters are reserved for adults only. Metropolitan Ministries is supplying a limited number of single-night motel vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis for families with minor children. Pre-registration is required for motel vouchers by calling the number below. Phone lines will be open Monday, Jan. 6, until 5 p.m. Families with minor children should call (813) 209-1176.
