If Halloween trick-or-treating leaves you ready for bed a little early tonight, you’re in luck! Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 1, which means you’ll get an extra hour to sleep off that candy. 🎃

Reminder: While you’re setting those clocks back one hour, don’t forget to check your smoke detectors and replace the batteries as needed. Changing your clocks is a great reminder to check your smoke detectors and help keep your home and family safe!

How cute are these little turtles? If you visit Jaycee Park, you will find this storm drain mural near the entrance on Long Lake Road. This design reminds us of the wildlife that can be affected when trash and other pollutants enter our local waterways.

Meet the artist, Ashley Weinberg. She is an illustrator with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Grand Valley State University. Her passion for warm, uplifting artwork and vibrant colors brings a little extra joy and creativity to our community.

The next time you visit Jaycee Park, take a moment to check out Ashley’s colorful artwork and help us celebrate the talented artists who make our community a little brighter.

You may have noticed a few of Troy's storm drains have recently received a makeover. Five artists were selected to bring storm drain murals to life as part of the Clinton River Watershed Council Storm Drain Stewards program! These creative designs combine art and science to raise awareness about where stormwater goes and how it impacts our local waterways.

💧Here is the list of the colorful drain murals you will find around the City:
Stine Park Events The Rink
Troy Public Library
Jaycee Park
City Hall East Parking Lot
Robinwood Park

Thank you to the Clinton River Watershed Council for leading this project and to Pure Oakland Water for providing funding. Special thanks to everyone who participated and shared their creativity.
