🚨🔥 FIRE SAFETY REMINDER: PORTABLE ELECTRIC HEATERS 🔥🚨

As the temperatures begin to drop, portable electric heaters become a common way to keep warm. However, improper use can create a serious fire hazard!

⚠️ NEVER plug a portable electric heater into an extension cord, power strip, or surge protector!

✅ Follow these important safety tips:

🔌 Plug directly into a wall outlet. Portable electric heaters should be plugged directly into a properly rated wall receptacle.

🔥 Keep it clear. Maintain at least 3 feet of clearance between the heater and anything that can burn, including furniture, blankets, curtains, and clothing.

👀 Never leave it unattended. Turn off the heater when leaving the room or going to sleep.

🔍 Inspect your heater. Check for damaged cords, loose plugs, or signs of overheating. Stop using it if you notice any problems.

🚫 Avoid overloading outlets. High-powered heaters can overload extension cords and power strips, causing them to overheat and potentially start a fire.

❤️ A few simple precautions can help prevent a devastating fire and keep your family safe this heating season!

Please share this reminder with family, friends, and neighbors.

🚒 Stay warm. Stay alert. Stay safe! 🚒
