Hello Elk Hills Families,
We will be conducting our winter benchmark assessments next week: 11/2-11/6. Please be sure to encourage healthy nighttime and morning routines for your students, speak with encouragement and positivity to them, havdee them arrive on time to school, and try not to miss any days unless absolutely necessary. These benchmarks show us what the students already know and what our teachers may need to take a deeper dive into before the end of the semester. Have a great weekend and a safe and fun Halloween!

Big Smiles will be on campus on Thursday, November 19th! Paper sign-up sheets went home last week, but you can also sign your student up to be seen by the dentist online by visiting: https://www.myschooldentist.com/32520_schsrm Please be sure to fill out all the information to ensure your student is seen! This is the fifth year we have had Big Smiles on campus, they provide six month check ups and basic preventative maintenance like cleanings, sealants, and small cavity fillings- all from the comfort of our school's auditorium! Red Ribbon Week is October 26-30 and this year's theme is: Make a Difference, Be a Hero, Stay Drug Free! To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, we will be having some fun dress up days and fun student actitivies during lunch recess! We will end the week with our annual Trunk or Treat on 10/30! Our second Saturday Camp of the school year is this Saturday, October 24th, 2026! Registration papers were sent home last week. If you are interested in having your student(s) attend Saturday Camp please fill out the registration form and send back to school as soon as possible. Please see the fliers below for all information. Please note that transportation is not provided for students who stay in the after school program.

Saturday Camps are from 8:30AM-1:00PM with afterschool program running from 1:00PM-4:00PM.

*Please check dates as the Saturday Camps are not every Saturday.

*The bus schedule for Saturday Camp is posted on Parent Square- There are a very limited number of stops.

Good Morning! Our first Saturday Camp of the school year is this Saturday, October 17th, 2026! Registration papers were sent home yesterday. If you are interested in having your student(s) attend Saturday Camp please fill out the registration form and send back to school by Friday. Please see the fliers below for all information. Hello families! Please be aware that Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up quick! They will be held the week of 10/12-10/16, and that entire week will be on a minimum day schedule with a 1:30PM dismissmal to allow time for these conferences to take place. Please be sure you make arrangements for your student to be picked up on time from campus or their bus stop during this week. Your student's teacher will have communication out to you soon about how you can sign up for your conference time. It is extremely important that you take advantage of this time with your student's teacher to discuss academics, social skills, behavior, and attendance concerns.
