Good morning. Even though It's several days before Halloween, let's see how imaginative everyone is by posting a scary pic of themselves using AI or whatever. Keep it clean and lets have some fun with this. Here's mine...

0325L-WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21, 2026

We have a shortwave moving through the central plains this morning and there may be a chance for showers/sprinkles/ and possibly a lightning strike around the area. Yesterday this occurred but was mostly virga. Our best chance for rain will come over the weekend and another cooldown looks to occur early next week. Per guidance, the rain chances next week don’t look heavy as compared to the recent activity we experienced in the past 2 events. We’ll see what happens.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your countywide forecast from the NWS / NORMAN:

Today- Mostly sunny. A slight chance of showers in the morning. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!

0305L-TUESDAY OCTOBER 20, 2026

Very light showers and possibly some virga may occur as a trough moves across the Rockies into the plains producing what is called isentropic lift; two bodies of air moving against each other causing one to lift as they meet. Ground elevation has a lot to do with this too. This is a simple quick explanation. We may see some virga and some of those clouds could be a picture opportunity. Most importantly, our temps will remain around normal for this time of the year.

Unfortunately, we will be creeping back up into the upper 70s towards the weekend as an upper ridge decides to move over the area. It won’t just sit here this time as a trough will move through this weekend giving us a low chance for rain. We’ll see what happens.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your countywide forecast from the NWS / NORMAN:

Today- Mostly sunny with a chance of sprinkles. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear with a chance of sprinkles in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
