Curious about what it's like to play in a Mah Jongg tournament? Join us for a friendly tournament designed for players who already know the game and want to experience a tournament-style format.

This event is a great opportunity to prepare for the library's American Mah Jongg Tournament that will be held in March, giving you a chance to become familiar with tournament rules, pacing, and scoring before the main event.

This tournament uses American Mah Jongg rules. Participants must bring their 2026 National Mah Jongg League card.

When you can't make it to Chinatown… Chinatown comes to you!

Steaming hot from the cookbook, “The Woks of Life,” classics like Kung Pao Chicken, Shanghai Noodles, and Cantonese Steamed Fish found their way to the Upper St. Clair Library.

So did vibrant cheongsams, as Cook The Books’ patrons take their themes very seriously!

At the end of the evening, the fortune cookie didn’t lie when it read, “Laughter is the loudest where food is best."
