Federal cuts to healthcare are going to impact hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers. Join us for a community conversation at the Utica Public Library on May 20 about what’s happening, who will be impacted, and how we can organize for a health care system that works for everyone—not just those who can afford it.
This is a space to:
✊ Hear real stories from our community
🏥 Talk about the growing challenges facing primary care
📢 Learn how we can take action together to protect access to affordable, quality care
The decisions being made right now will affect our families, neighbors, seniors, people with disabilities, rural communities, and working people across the Mohawk Valley.
We all deserve access to care with dignity.
🍽 Refreshments and light dinner provided
✅ RSVP encouraged
Come listen. Come share. Come organize.

Yesterday, on Tax Day, we showed up in front of the Utica State Office Building to demand real investment in child care and the child care workforce.
We stood together, parents, providers, and community members calling on and our state legislators to fully fund universal child care, along with housing, healthcare, and protections for working families—by taxing the rich.
, we are calling on you to prioritize the child care workforce and ensure that the $500 million proposed by the Senate makes it into the final state budget.
We cannot achieve universal child care without investing in the workforce and without full funding, it simply will not work.
Take action today. Call the Governor’s office and your legislators and demand a worker compensation fund for child care providers in this year’s budget.

Childcare is essential but the workforce is severely underfunded, and the governor’s proposed budget includes zero funding for pay increases. Educators mostly women of color and immigrants—are doing critical work while earning poverty wages. That must change.
Join us in calling on to fund childcare by taxing the rich. New York has more millionaires and billionaires than any other state it’s time our budget reflects the needs of working people.
We urge State Assembly and Senate members to pass the Invest in Our New York package.
