We will be conducting a training at the Valley City High School, on October 20th from 5pm-7pm. Please avoid the area is possible, there will be a large presence of Law Enforcement around the school. Do not be alarmed if you hear fire alarms, loud voices, or the use of pyrotechnics. If you have any questions please contact the police department at 845-3110

🐧 Sgt. McWaddles and new Officer Rico are checking on trailers, campers, and boats!

Beginning October 1, these vehicles may not be parked or stored on residential streets, alleys, or other public places. Please relocate them to an approved location by September 30. Also remember the no parking 2 AM to 6 AM in signed business parking also starting October 1.

❤️ Training today, saving lives tomorrow!

Members of the Valley City Police Department, Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, and Barnes County Dispatch recently completed CPR recertification led by Barnes County Ambulance. Working and training together helps make Valley City and Barnes County safer for everyone! 🚓🚑

Przemek Kowalik will be selling educational materials in Valley City August 24-September 3. He has acquired all permits from the VCPD. He is driving a black Honda Civic with no license plates.

The Valley City Police Department would like to thank everyone who attended Parent Internet Safety Night. We appreciate the parents and caregivers who took the time to learn more about protecting children online.

A special thank-you to the Special Agents and Victim Service Specialists from the North Dakota BCI Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and providing valuable resources. We also thank Valley City Public Schools for partnering with us and allowing us to use the Highliner Activity Center for this important training.

As technology and online platforms continue to evolve, children can encounter risks such as inappropriate content, cyberbullying, online predators, scams, and privacy concerns. Training like this equips parents and caregivers with practical tools to use parental controls, strengthen privacy settings, encourage healthy screen-time habits, and have proactive conversations with children about online safety.

Keeping children safe online takes all of us working together. Thank you to every agency, organization, presenter, and community member who helped make this event possible!
