Verona Area International School (VAIS) is the ONLY public, tuition-free Chinese language immersion

VAIS students from Verona, Fitchburg, and parts of Madison spend half of their day learning content in Mandarin Chinese and half their day in English while also engaging in music, art, and physical education with a global focus at the heart of the curriculum. VAIS graduates continue their Mandarin learning at the middle and high school levels through an Advanced Chinese program offered at Badger Ridge Middle School and Verona Area High School. The Verona Area School District (VASD) is working with all district schools to ensure that:
•Every student has a personalized learning plan that provides a path to discovery and achievement and that plan is reviewed and changed at least annually based on the student’s needs
•Every student’s parent, guardian or advocate participates directly in the design, implementation, and outcomes of that student’s personalized learning plans
•Every student meets or exceeds the goals of his or her personalized learning plan every school year
•Every Verona Area High School student graduates

We’re excited to kick off the Verona Area Food Drive, organized by the High School Food Drive Club, from October 29–December 17!

Each week, students will receive a list of needed food items and also in parent square. Donations can be dropped off at your students' school, where high school students will collect them. Donations will support Badger Prairie Needs Network and Allied Drive Food Pantry and help our community during the holiday season. Our goal this year is 55,000 pounds, by donating you can help reach our goal.

Thank you for supporting our students and our community!

The 2/3 kids had a great time walking to the Verona Public Library last week, listening to stories about the moon and exploring the exhibit.
