🚒 THANK YOU! 🚒
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a huge thank you to MPLX Marathon Petroleum Corporation for awarding us a $5,000 grant toward a brush fire skid/rescue unit for our newly acquired Polaris Ranger 1000 XP!
This generous contribution will help us equip our new unit to better serve our community and respond to brush fires, rescues, and emergencies in areas that are difficult to access with traditional fire apparatus. The unit is a QTAC EMS85-C. This unit has the capability of storing 85 gallons of water with a small pump, as well as a fold out tray for patients during rescues.
We are grateful for your support and commitment to helping us keep our community safe!

The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that it has successfully passed its evaluation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshall’s Office, and has been re-certified by the West Virginia State Fire Commission as a certified fire department for the next 5 years.

For the month of September the Vienna VFD had another busy month with 58 calls for service. This brings our total for 2026 to 422 calls. These calls range from working structure fires, vehicle accidents, alarm calls, CO/gas leaks, and EMS assists. Thank you to our community for the continued support as well as our mutual aid departments for their assistance on larger calls!

As a reminder please call 9-1-1 when you have an emergency, do not call directly to the fire station as it is not manned 24/7.

We are celebrating our 50th anniversary with an open house Saturday October 3rd from 11-3. Come out and join us for a bowl of your favorite kind of soup, provided by our auxiliary, and meet our firefighters, tour the station, see our trucks and equipment, and learn some history of our first 50 years of serving our community! We have 2 charter members who are still active firefighters and they will be on hand as well. We look forward to seeing everyone!

The City of Vienna purchased this side by side for the VPD and VVFD to use in a joint effort. The buggy will be set up with a skid unit for wildland firefighting and patient rescue from rough terrain areas. It will be removable to allow the VPD to use at city events so they can patrol the event. Thank you to the City of Vienna WV for taking care of our needs.
