Today, we were fortunate enough to participate in some excellent vehicle lifting and stabilization training with:
🚒 CT Custom Fire Training LLC
🚒 T & J Rescue Enterprises LLC
🚒 Jewett City Fire Department
🚒 Moosup Fire Department
🚒 Oneco Fire Department
Firefighters trained on the proper techniques for lifting and stabilizing cars, buses, and trucks during emergency incidents.
This was a two-part class. We started in the classroom, discussing different scenarios and how we would approach and manage each situation. We then took those scenarios into the field and recreated them for valuable hands-on training.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this training possible. The experience and knowledge gained today will help us be better prepared when we are called upon to handle these types of emergencies.
We also want to give a special thank you to our local businesses:
Without the generous support of local businesses willing to provide vehicles and wreckers for training, we would not be able to provide the quality, hands-on training our firefighters need.
Thank you for supporting your local fire departments and helping us train to serve our communities better! 🚒💪
