Happy Halloween from the Ocean County EMS Coordinators!

Halloween is a time for costumes, candy, and making memories with family and friends! As our communities head out to celebrate tonight, we want to remind everyone to make SAFETY a priority!

Whether you’re trick-or-treating, attending a Halloween party, or welcoming little ghosts and goblins to your doorstep, please keep these important safety tips in mind:

🎃 Trick-or-Treaters: Stay on sidewalks, use designated crosswalks, and always have a responsible adult accompany younger children.

🔦 Be Seen: Carry a flashlight, use glow sticks, or wear reflective clothing to help drivers see you after dark.

🍬 Check the Treats: Parents and guardians should inspect all candy and treats before children enjoy them.

🚗 Drivers, Slow Down! Use extra caution in residential neighborhoods, watch for children crossing between parked vehicles, and avoid distractions behind the wheel.

Our Ocean County EMS agencies and first responders are always ready to answer the call, but prevention and awareness are the best ways to keep our communities safe.

From all of us at the Ocean County EMS Coordinators, we wish you and your families a SAFE, HAPPY, and SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN!

Fourteen years ago today, Hurricane Sandy forever changed countless lives and communities across the New Jersey shoreline.

In the days and weeks that followed, countless individuals worked long, exhausting hours under unimaginable conditions to help those affected by the widespread destruction, devastation, and loss.

Today, we remember not only the devastation left behind but also the extraordinary courage, compassion, and resilience demonstrated in its aftermath.

We honor the selfless dedication of EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Public Works, utility crews, volunteers, and community members who worked tirelessly to provide aid, comfort, hope, and stability to our communities during one of the most challenging times in our history.

Hurricane Sandy reminded us of the incredible strength of our communities and the importance of standing together when it matters most.
