🚫TEMPORARY OFFICE CLOSURE🚫

The Development and the Engineering Departments, located on the 2nd floor of the Ellis County Central Building at 302 N. Monroe will be closed tomorrow, Friday October 30th due to ongoing maintenance and construction and will reopen on Monday, November 2nd.

ROAD CLOSURES!! 🚧 The following roads will be closed for the Crossroads of Texas GO TEXAN Country Festival event beginning on Friday, October 23 at 5:00 p.m.:

The Stampede of Speed Cattle Drive will be making its way through downtown Waxahachie THIS FRIDAY - October 9th!

The cattle drive kicks off at HIGH NOON (12:00pm) from Railyard Park, then heads:
North on College → West on Franklin → South on Rodgers

Barricades will be set around 10:00 am, with full street closures happening shortly before the drive begins at noon. If you’re heading through downtown Friday morning or around lunchtime, plan accordingly.. and maybe allow a little extra time for the cow traffic!

Bring the family and find a spot along the route to watch the herd make its way through downtown!
It’s not every day you get to see a cattle drive right here in Ellis County!

💗PINK OCTOBER IN ELLIS COUNTY💗

This month, Ellis County joins communities across the nation in raising awareness, honoring survivors, remembering those we have lost, and supporting those currently fighting breast cancer.

Early detection matters. We encourage everyone in our community to prioritize their health, know their risk factors, and talk with their healthcare provider about recommended screenings.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ellis County Historic Courthouse will shine pink throughout October, a symbol of support for the fighters, survivors, families, and loved ones whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.

As the courthouse glows pink this month, may it serve as a reminder that no one fights alone.
