WUES is excited to announce we have received the THRIVE grant from the Union County Education Foundation!

This grant will help us launch the Ron Clark Academy House System, supporting two important priorities at WUES: instructional excellence and a culture of belonging.

And the impact is already beginning! Our staff has been sorted into their houses, and the excitement, energy, and friendly competition are already bringing us together in new ways. We are building connections, strengthening relationships across our school, and creating a shared sense of pride and purpose that we can carry into our classrooms and throughout our school community.

Through staff training and resources, we will continue to build a culture where adults grow together, students take ownership of their learning, and every student feels connected, valued, and empowered to succeed. We believe that when we invest in our people and strengthen our culture, we create the conditions for instructional excellence and meaningful student growth.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Union County Education Foundation for investing in our students, staff, and the future of WUES!

What are we doing during our teacher workday ?

This morning we sorted our staff into houses for the very first time! Inspired by the Ron Clark Academy House system , this is about so much more than four houses. It’s about building a culture where every person belongs, every voice matters, and every member of our school family has a place to shine.

We believe that when adults feel connected, valued, and part of something bigger than themselves, that sense of belonging carries into our classrooms and to our students. We want WUES to be a place where relationships are strong , pride runs deep, and everyone is encouraged to grow, lead, and celebrate one another.

Our houses may be different , but the purpose is the same. We are one team , united by our commitment to our students, our families, and to each other.

Four Houses. One Family.

The beginning of something special 💙🖤❤️💚… who will get sorted next ?! Union County Public Schools
