There is nothing more adorable than a preschool graduation! Thank you to All About Caring's Warrenville and Aurora Centers for inviting me to your ceremony honoring these little ones as they take their next big step into kindergarten.

A special thank you to Sury and Carlos for the wonderful job you've done helping prepare these children for this exciting milestone. Congratulations to all of the graduates and their families!

What a beautiful evening with the Community Organizing and Family Issues in celebration of their 30th anniversary.

I was honored to be their guest speaker, highlighting how critical parent leaders are for advocating for our students and their families. I have personally seen first hand how our COFI parents in Elgin and Aurora make a difference for our community. Congratulations, COFI and thank you for all you do!

This month we remember the LGBTQ+ Community and the positive impact they have brought to our communities and our culture. All of us can relate to their stories of resilience against violent oppression and find hope in their message of love and equality. Intersectionality teaches us that we are all connected in the fight for basic human rights, and in times such as these, we must all support each other. Do what you can to support the LGBTQ+ community this month and keep their message at the forefront of your mind. Love wins!

La interseccionalidad nos enseña que estamos unidos en la lucha por los derechos humanos fundamentales y que, en momentos como este, debemos apoyarnos mutuamente. I had a wonderful time touring Radical Hospitality Ministries today. It was inspiring to learn more about their work, hear stories of impact, and disscuss the need for services like theirs across counties. They help individuals navigate incarceration and re-entry by tackling systemic barriers head on. As a former social worker, I believe strongly that every person deserves dignity, support, and a chance for a better future. Radical Hospitality Ministries gives people the fighting chance they deserve, and I am so grateful to know they are serving DuPage County.

Fue inspirador conocer más sobre su labor, escuchar historias sobre el impacto que generan y conversar sobre la necesidad de contar con servicios como los suyos en los distintos condados. Ellos ayudan a las personas a afrontar los procesos de encarcelamiento y reinserción social, abordando de frente las barreras sistémicas. Como ex trabajador social, estoy firmemente convencido de que toda persona merece dignidad, apoyo y la oportunidad de un futuro mejor. Radical Hospitality Ministries brinda a las personas esa oportunidad real que merecen, y agradezco enormemente saber que prestan sus servicios en el condado de DuPage.
