The Cottingley Secret by Hazel Gaynor
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Family secrets, old book shop, enchanted cottage with a secret garden and fairies make for a delightful, magical book. A dual timeline story set in two charming countries...Ireland and England. Hazel Gaynor's words captivated me from the very beginning and had me reading all day and most of the night.

I just finished this crime thriller that is set in the Pine Barrens area of New Jersey. The author Caitlyn Mulled resides in NJ.
If you like books by Tana French and Liz Moore...you'll enjoy this gritty cold case detective story. A crime that spans generations and very thought proving.

The English Master Piece by Katharine Reay
⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really enjoyed the book. Such a fascinating look into the English art world and Picasso. Definitely a gripping page turner. I loved all the characters especially Lily and her quirky family and friends.

Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt by Ben Reeves
⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book was a great read. I loved the unique way it was written. It's a story about Travis who is "death" in the real world. He sits with people as they are dying in their final moments. It's intertwined with his relationship with the woman across the hall in his building. The story was emotional but wonderful and it became one of my top books I've read so far this year. Definitely recommend reading to anyone!

MY FRIENDS

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fredrik Backman is the master of tugging at your heartstrings and taking you on a emotional rollercoaster ride.
While reading this book (and many days after finishing) I kept reminiscing about my childhood and my best friends that I spent my sunmers with (which were all boys)...riding our bikes, swimming and of course getting into mischief. Those memories came flooding back and that's the magic of a gifted, talented writer. These characters will stay with me for a long time!
