🚨 ALERT:

At approximately 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, Sheyenne High School received a “swatting” call directed at Sheyenne High School (800 40th Ave. E.).

A School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Sheyenne High School and additional patrol officers quickly responded to the area. After a thorough investigation, a supervisor on scene deemed the threat to be a hoax. There is no threat to Sheyenne High School at this time.

Sheyenne High School Administration initiated a lockdown out of an abundance of caution while the investigation occurred. The lockdown was lifted at approximately 11:57 a.m., with all school operations returning to normal.

The West Fargo Police Department has a dedicated team of nine SROs and one Sergeant who serve as law enforcement officers, informal counselors, mentors and teachers. Through a partnership with West Fargo Public Schools, the SROs continue to ensure school campuses are a safe place for all learners.

The West Fargo Police Department will continue to thoroughly investigate any threats of this nature.
