📰 NEWS RELEASE: Meet McCullough Park 🌳
Westfield Washington Township is preserving 73 acres of green space adjacent to MacGregor Park, which will create an approximately 170-acre connected park experience for our community.
McCullough Park brings its own story to the landscape, with open fields, wooded areas, a creek, a family home, and a historic red barn dating back to the late 1800s. Together, MacGregor and McCullough will create new possibilities for nature, history, education, preservation, and community connection.
❓ So, what happens next?
This announcement is the beginning of the planning process, not a finalized park design. Future trails, preservation efforts, programming, and other possibilities will be explored through professional planning, community input, and partnerships beginning this fall and continuing into 2027.
⚠️ Please note: McCullough Park is not yet open for public access, and an opening date has not been determined.
“McCullough Park gives us the chance to protect green space, honor the history of this property, and thoughtfully create something that can serve the community for generations to come.” - Township Trustee Jamie Goetz Mills
