You chanted for it, you fundraised for it, and you made it happen! Because our amazing FDES community raised over $15,000 during our Boosterthon, Ms. Maestle and Mr. Campbell held up their end of the bargain today! 🫣👇

A HUGE thank you to our PTO members, especially President, Amy Kump, and Vice President, Nicole Pifer, for working so hard behind the scenes to make this incredible fundraiser possible. And to all our Panda families—thank you for your generous hearts! These funds will do so much to support our students, teachers, and school events this year. 💚

Two Fridays ago, our FDES community gathered on the lawn under a beautiful sunset to watch Ratatouille! 🐀🧑‍🍳 It was the absolute perfect movie to celebrate the end of our food-themed Boosterthon.

A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for keeping everyone fueled up with pizza and snacks, and to everyone who bought fun tattoos to support our 4th-grade team's upcoming spring field trip to Jamestown! 🍕⚓

On Friday we celebrated the beautiful cultures of our students and staff with an amazing schoolwide assembly. Did you know every grade (K-4) has at least one teacher from a Spanish-speaking country?!

Our wonderful Participate teachers and students took the stage to share facts and present the flags of their home countries, including El Salvador and Spain. A huge thank you to our fabulous MCs, Ms. Sir and Ms. Cabrerizo, for keeping the energy high all morning!

We ended the celebration the best way possible—with the entire school up on their feet in the gym, singing and dancing to the morning song we’ve been listening to all month long! 💃🕺

Our 4th Grade Bingo Night was an absolute blast! When the weather tried to rain on our parade, our amazing community simply moved the fun right into the cafeteria and kept the numbers rolling.

A huge shoutout to our superstar bingo callers, Ms. Boula and Ms. Cabrerizo 🎤, and to everyone who grabbed a hotdog dinner pack! Thanks to your incredible support, our 4th graders are one big step closer to their spring trip to Williamsburg. 🌭🏛️

🎉 WE CRUSHED OUR GOAL! 🎉

Our FDES Pandas brought ALL the energy for Friday’s Boosterthon Fun Run! 🏃‍♂️💨 Thanks to your incredible support, we officially surpassed our massive $15,000 fundraising goal! 🙌

And you know what that means... it’s time for the ultimate reward! 🟢💦 Principal Maestle and Mr. Campbell will be getting SLIMED at an upcoming assembly! Stay tuned for the messy details. 😉

Did you hear? Our FDES Pandas absolutely CRUSHED our recent goal with an incredible 97.32% attendance rate! 💥 To celebrate their hard work, WPS treated our students to FREE Kona Ice this past Friday!

We loved seeing all those colorful smiles, but remember: we can only have these amazing school-wide celebrations when our students are in the building! Showing up every day is the #1 key to student success. 📚✨

Let’s keep this incredible momentum going! Set those alarms, get a good night's sleep, and let's get ready for another fantastic week of learning. Who knows what our next big surprise might be? 😉

Sprint to the weekend! 🏃💨 Our Pandas were FULL of energy and racing for the buses on Thursday to kick off this extra-long break! 🚌🎉 We hope you're having an amazing and restful weekend. Just a quick reminder: No School tomorrow (Monday) for Labor Day. We can't wait to see everyone back in the building on Tuesday morning! 🐼🎒

Our FDES Pandas absolutely love their recess time! 🐼 Whether they are zooming around the PreK/Kindergarten playground or climbing high on the 1st-4th grade equipment, this daily break is actually essential for their growth.
