🐴💙 Horse on the Porch Day at Avery Village! 💙🐴

We are so blessed to have a wonderful equine training farm just down the street from Avery Village! Gipsy and Butterscotch love spending some porch time hanging out with our residents, and our residents love having them around. 🥰

These special animal visits bring joy, encourage conversation and connection, and create meaningful opportunities for residents to enjoy the calming presence of animals right from their own porch.

There’s nothing quite like a little fresh air, good company, and some four-legged friends! 🐴😊💙

Today’s cooking class was a dill-lightful success! 🥒💚

Our residents joined in on the viral pickle dip trend, and let’s just say… there weren’t many leftovers! From mixing ingredients to taste-testing along the way, everyone had a blast sharing laughs, recipes, and a little pickle-powered creativity.

Cooking classes like these are more than just making tasty treats — they’re about creating memories, encouraging connection, and having fun together. We love seeing our residents try new things and enjoy every moment!

Our residents had a fiesta to remember celebrating Cinco de Mayo! 🎉🌮

They got creative making colorful maracas with Kim from Bristol, enjoyed a delicious nacho social with all the tasty toppings, and sipped on alcohol-free ce***za to keep the celebration festive and fun for everyone. 🍻

The afternoon was full of smiles as we played Lotería (similar to bingo) — bringing lots of laughs and friendly competition!

Days like this are what community is all about — good food, great company, and joyful memories made together. 💛🎶

Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Winterville Cultural Center to explore a local art exhibit! 🖼️✨

They took their time viewing the artwork, sharing thoughts, and enjoying a change of scenery together. It was a great opportunity to get out into the community and experience something new.

Afterward, we headed to Wendy’s for lunch, where everyone enjoyed a meal and good conversation. 🍔🥤

Thank you to the Winterville Cultural Center staff who welcomed us with coffee and helped make the day smooth and enjoyable. We love creating new opportunities for our residents to stay active and connected!
