Woodbine Community Food Pantry donation drop-off spots are available at The Crew Center, Food Land, and Dollar General during their regular operating hours.

When you are out running errands, consider picking up a few extra pantry staples and dropping them off. Small donations add up quickly and help keep the pantry stocked for neighbors in our community.

Thank you to everyone who gives, and thank you to our local drop-off locations for making it easier to support the pantry.

💵 Name Brand ≠ Better
Store brands often come from the same producers as big brands (in many cases, it is the EXACT SAME product just with a lower price tag.)

Switching to generic items can save 20–30% on your grocery bill!

🍽️ EASY TUNA & RICE BAKE

Here's a budget-friendly way to turn pantry basics into dinner.

Mix 2 cups of cooked rice with 1 drained can of tuna, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, and 1 cup of cooked or drained vegetables. Add a splash of milk or water if needed. Spread in a baking dish and bake at 350°F until hot throughout, about 20–25 minutes.

It's easy to adjust depending on what you have. Have you made a similar casserole with canned chicken instead?

Today’s the day, Woodbine Applefest is here!

If you are out enjoying all the fun around town, stop at the orchard before returning home, pick some free apples, and try this simple apple-themed snack from the Iowa State Extension’s Spend Smart series. All you need is just a few simple ingredients: apple slices, peanut butter, and raisins. It is a fun way to keep the apple theme going on Applefest day.
