❤️ Nourishing our community, one meal at a time.

The pantry at YUGM plays an essential role in our mission, allowing us to receive food donations and turn them into nutritious, nourishing meals for our clients and neighbors experiencing homelessness here in Yakima.

Every donation makes a difference. Every meal is an opportunity to show compassion, restore dignity, and remind someone they are not forgotten.

This is what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus—to love our neighbors through meaningful, tangible acts of service and meet people where they are.

We’re grateful for every individual, business, and community partner who helps keep our pantry stocked and our mission moving forward. Together, we’re serving Yakima with hope, compassion, and love. 🙏❤️

$2.77 goes further than you think.
$2.77 provides 1 meal.
That 1 meal gives YUGM the opportunity to serve a person in a warm shelter, it provides the opportunity for connection, it provides the opportunity to provide dignity, safety, kindness and love.
That one meal can be the one when a person decides to turn their lives around.
It can be the one kind thing they receive that day while they try to survive.

Our teams at YUGM helped put together a fun and family-friendly event for our family shelter guests and staff families 🎃✨

Even in the midst of some people’s hardest seasons, we aim to provide some sense of normalcy.
Pumpkins and candy don’t change lives, but the love a person experiences can be the thing they needed that day.
A silly carnival game doesn’t replace the real needs of a family, but it can bring laughter and a moment of peace in a child’s life.
We hope that aside from all the fun and candy these families received, they felt seen, valued and loved 🫶🏼

❤️ Yakima Union Gospel Mission doesn’t just serve our shelter guests. We’re here for the broader Yakima Valley community, too!

Through resources like our Medical Center, we help provide access to care for individuals who may otherwise be overlooked or underserved.

Everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and cared for. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and help bring hope, healing, and access to essential resources to those who need them most. ❤️

❤️ No two days are the same at the Family Shelter, but one thing remains constant: the care, guidance, and support we provide to every family.

From connecting families with Yakima community partners and valuable local resources to educating them about assistance programs like TANF and SNAP they may be eligible for, our team helps families navigate the resources available to them. Whether it’s understanding government paperwork, coordinating medical and dental appointments, or connecting with services that support their unique needs, we walk alongside families every step of the way.

At Yakima Union Gospel Mission, we’re committed to empowering families with the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to build stability, restore hope, and move toward a brighter future. 🏡❤️

It’s never too early to demonstrate kindness and generosity with our children! These canned items go a long way in our kitchen - feeding hundreds of people a day is no small feat but we are grateful to God for His provision 🩵
