Today I had the wonderful opportunity to join the amazing Amanda Husted on 93Q Radio to talk about Grief with Hope, our upcoming A seat at the table fundraiser, and the exciting things we’re working toward for our community!

First, I have to give Amanda a HUGE thank-you! 💜 She is such an incredible supporter of our community, and the fact that she was willing to share her radio time and spotlight with me to help spread awareness about Grief with Hope means more than she probably realizes. I’m so grateful for her generosity, encouragement, and belief in what we’re building.

Now, let’s talk about the interview itself. 😂

You guys, I was NERVOUS! Not just a little nervous. We’re talking LIVE radio, cameras rolling, and me trying to remember how to put sentences together! 🤣

And sure enough, there were a few moments when my brain and my mouth decided they weren’t going to cooperate with each other. 🤦‍♀️😂

But I’m sharing it anyway!

Because something I’m learning through this journey is that you don’t have to be a perfect public speaker to have something meaningful to say.

Grief with Hope is something I believe in with my whole heart. What started with a desire to help others navigate grief has grown into something I never could have imagined.

And now, as we prepare to expand into end-of-life doula services, I’m stepping into another new chapter. It’s a service I’m incredibly passionate about, and while we’re still in the beginning stages of bringing it to our community, I’m excited about the comfort, education, and support we’ll eventually be able to offer individuals and families facing the end of life.

I’m learning and growing…. sometimes stumbling over my words along the way. But I’m showing up 💜

Our A Seat at the Table Fundraising Dinner is November 13th, and every opportunity to share our mission helps us get one step closer to everything we’re working toward.

💜 IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR TONIGHT! 💜

There will be a Halloween Costume Giveaway taking place at Be Xtra Community Event Center tonight! 🎃👻

With the additional activity happening at the venue, we kindly ask those attending our Grief with Hope support group or fundraiser planning meeting to please park in the Target parking lot or across the street along the wire fence, where parking is permitted, to help keep the area accessible for everyone.

We will still be holding our regularly scheduled activities tonight! 💜

Our doors remain open to anyone navigating grief, whether you’ve lost someone you love or are grieving through other difficult life circumstances. You are always welcome. ❤️

Grief with Hope — Finding hope, together.

💜 Grief doesn’t take a break for the holidays. And grief doesn’t always mean someone has died. 💔

While the world is decorating Christmas trees, planning family gatherings, and preparing for the happiest time of the year, there are so many people quietly preparing themselves for one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

For some, it’s another holiday without someone they love.

For others, it’s watching someone they love slowly change because of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, or another life-altering illness.

It’s grieving the conversations you used to have. The relationship you once knew. The traditions that may never look the same again.

It’s being a spouse who has slowly become a full-time caregiver.

It’s being a son or daughter watching a parent change right before your eyes.

It’s feeling like you’re losing pieces of someone you love, even though they’re still sitting right beside you.

And I want you to know something: That is grief, too. And your feelings deserve just as much compassion and support. 💜

At Grief with Hope, our General Loss Support Group isn’t just for those who have experienced a death.

We welcome those navigating anticipatory grief, caregiving, life-changing diagnoses, and the emotional weight of watching someone they love struggle with illness.

You don’t have to wait until someone passes away to need support.

You don’t have to explain why you’re hurting.

And you certainly don’t have to carry it all alone.

As we enter this holiday season, I want our community to know that there is a place where you can come exactly as you are.

Whether you’re missing someone who is gone, grieving the changes in someone who is still here, or simply trying to find your way through a season that feels especially heavy, you are welcome.

This is about building something our community needs, and we cannot do it without your support.
