The Embassy of the Philippines in Ha Noi, Vietnam celebrates with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) on the commemoration of Araw ng Kalayaan on 12 June 2026, marking the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, with the theme, “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan”.

READ: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will welcome General Secretary and President of Viet Nam Tô Lâm for a historic two-day State Visit to the Philippines on May 31 to June 1, 2026, the first State Visit of Viet Nam’s party leader to the country.

The visit marks nearly 50 years of diplomatic relations and a decade of Strategic Partnership between the Philippines and Viet Nam. Talks are expected to cover trade and investment, food security, defense and maritime cooperation, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
