Did you know that National Book Week is one of the oldest literary celebrations in the Philippines? It traces its roots back to 1934, when it was declared to promote the love of books and emphasize their importance in education and nation-building. 🇵🇭

📖✨ Another Fun Fact!
The whole month of November is also National Reading Month, mandated through DepEd Memorandum No. 244, s. 2011, encouraging schools nationwide to nurture reading habits and strengthen literacy among learners.

What a great way to kick off the National Reading Month celebration! 🎉 Our Young Information Specialists leveled up their digital literacy skills through an engaging and hands-on session with Miss Fritche Anne L. Booc, our amazing resource person!

This timely capacity-building activity empowered our YIS volunteers to become information-savvy and organized digital ninjas — honing skills that are essential in today’s fast-paced, media-rich world. 🌐💪

From mastering digital clippings to efficiently archiving news materials, our News Ninjas are now even more equipped to support the IMC’s mission of promoting a culture of reading, inquiry, and responsible information use. 🧠⚔️

Our IMC staff dived into the Latest Features of the TLC Library System with the guidance of Ms. Mary Jean F. Melloria, RL, LPT, Technical Librarian at the AdDU Grade School Library.

The training aims to retool and sharpen the staff's expertise in navigating the TLC's latest features in Cataloguing, Circulation, Inventory, and Reports—making sure our library services keep up with the growing demands of teaching and learning.
