PUBLIC SERVICE AND ADMINISTRATION MINISTER AND KZN AGRICULTURE MEC TO UNVEIL AGRICULTURAL BLUEPRINT AT EXTENSION SUMMIT

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, led by MEC Mrs. Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa, invites media members to attend the Provincial Extension Summit where, the Minister for the Department of Public Service and Administration, Inkosi Mzamo Buthelezi, will officially unveil the department's agricultural blueprint.

The plan outlines a re-imagined approach for KZN agriculture as the sector responds to global shocks and food insecurity. It focuses on practical, field-tested solutions that farmers can use immediately to protect jobs and boost food production.

The summit will bring together extension practitioners, researchers, agricultural experts, and stakeholders to share successful practical solutions that are already improving productivity and sustainability among smallholder farmers. Discussions will focus on climate-smart livestock and crop management practices, strengthening agricultural extension services, and linking farmers to markets.
