Behind every number is a story of impact.

In 2025, our work focused on strengthening the systems that enable long-term progress—from supporting township entrepreneurs and preparing agri-businesses for international markets, to advancing climate resilience, green skills, and Africa-led innovation.

The results captured in this report are more than achievements. They reflect a broader effort to build institutions, partnerships, and opportunities that create lasting change and drive sustainable development.

Empowering youth means investing in the skills that matter today and tomorrow.

As we commemorate Youth Day, we highlight young South Africans who are gaining the skills needed to participate in and shape the country's growing green economy.

Through partnerships focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency, young people, particularly from rural communities, are developing practical skills in solar photovoltaic systems, energy auditing, and building performance assessment. These are skills that support South Africa's energy transition while opening pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and economic inclusion.

As we honour the legacy of the youth of 1976, we are reminded that empowering young people remains one of the most powerful investments we can make in a more inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous future.
