The celebration convenes under the theme “ Building working class unity for economic liberation towards socialism. “

The event is part of the ANC's organizational renewal program, strengthening the party's structures and engagement with alliance partners.

Today I joined the 8th ANC Joe Gqabi Special Regional General Meeting at Entokozweni Community Hall in Ugie on 27 April 2026.

The meeting communicated the NEC's decision to structures, per Rule 25.1-3 of the Constitution, and celebrated 32 years of democracy. The event is part of the ANC's organizational renewal program, strengthening the party's structures and engagement.

This morning, together with ANC MP Cde Helen Neale-May, we will be at the East London Parliamentary Constituency Office to lead a Freedom Day Health and Voter Education Programme.
