HON. YOTAM MTAYACHALO WARNS AGAINST ILLEGAL COLLECTION OF NRCs AND VOTER'S CARDS
By Stephen Kakwende
Former Chama North Member of Parliament and aspiring Chama Central Constituency parliamentary candidate, Hon. Yotam Mtayachalo, has warned individuals involved in the collection of National Registration Cards (NRCs) and Voter's Cards from members of the public, saying they risk arrest and prosecution.
Hon. Mtayachalo said reports received from various wards in Chama Central Constituency indicate that some individuals are collecting NRCs and Voter's Cards while promising beneficiaries fertilizer and other incentives.
He described the practice as illegal and a direct violation of the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Electoral Code of Conduct, noting that it undermines the credibility and integrity of the electoral process.
"This conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in Chama Central Constituency," he said.
The former lawmaker urged residents to safeguard their personal documents and refrain from surrendering them to anyone in exchange for promised benefits. He also called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Hon. Mtayachalo further appealed to community members to remain vigilant and report any suspected cases, emphasizing the importance of free, fair, and transparent political activities ahead of future elections.

THABO KAWANA IS JUST A CIVIL SERVANT AND AN UPND CADRE. ZAMBIA IS BIGGER THAN HIM, LET'S BE SERIOUS.
You are wasting your time, this song has gone viral. You can gag the radio station but not Facebook, bars, and many places. How come you are not checking UPND songs which are worse? These people have no shame.
In 2021, those guys from Luapula sang songs and even mentioned names. The song 'Ba Mwankole' played throughout, 'Ingwena ni Ingwena', 'Ba opposition niba ngwele' by Yo Maps plays and they dance to it. So just because the song speaks out some of your failed projects you promised the people and reminds them of the previous four plus years you were only attacking and arresting your strong political opponents instead of delivering your promises, now that the BM8 and MZ8 song it's reminding the people how they have suffered it becomes a bad one?
What's wrong with these politicians holding power today? π€π€ I have stopped from here.
