Want to help run PIRA in 2027? 🗳️

Nominations for our 2027 executive are now open! Here's what's up for grabs:

👑 President: lead the team and be PIRA's voice to students, FUSA and the College
🤝 Vice President: back up the President and the whole committee
💰 Treasurer: run the budget, funding applications and keep our events worth it
📣 Secretary + Marketing & Comms Officers: run our socials, emails and promo, plus meetings and sponsorships
🎉 Events Director + Officers: plan and run our social and academic events, from big nights out to info sessions, and work with FUSA to bring them to life
🎓 Education & Careers Director + Officers: represent politics and IR students, run education and careers events, and help put together resources like our careers guide
🙌 General Executive Officers: pitch in wherever you're needed. A great way to get started!

Our friends at the Australian Institute of International Affairs, South Australia (AIIA SA), and the Jeff Bleich Centre for Democracy and Disruptive Technologies (JBC) at Flinders University are putting together a fantastic event next week.

Building AI Sovereignty in a Disrupted World will see the Hon. Chris Picton MP, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy in a panel conversation with Professor Rodrigo Praino, Director of the Jeff Bleich Centre; and Dr Mel McDowall, Director of the Defence AI Research Network (DAIRNet). Moderated by Leonard Blazeby, AIIA–SA President.
