Do you love escape rooms? do you love our rooms? have you played 200 or more rooms! you can nominate your favourite room!
our Butchers shop room was nominated in 2024 and 2025.

It's that time of year again - the official kickoff for the 2026 TERPECA awards season!

Here are some things you might want to know about this year's awards.

First off, dates - mark your calendars!
- Nominations open in early October and end October 31, as always.
- Voting opens in early November and ends November 30, as always.
- The awards show will be Saturday, December 19 at 1pm Pacific.

The process itself will be exactly the same this year as it was last year: new voters require 100 rooms played, new nominators require 200 rooms played, and nominators can make up to 10 nominations.

As for what we've been up to, today we launched a major update to the TERPECA homepage at https://www.terpeca.com, and we hope you'll take a look — it should be much easier to explore past results, meet the contributors, and learn more about the project.

We also heard you in our survey last year that player safety is an increasingly important issue for the escape room community. While we don't have specifics ready to share just yet, we are actively working on introducing safety requirements for TERPECA rooms starting in 2027. Details on this are coming soon.

As always, for even more details on the project plus answers for most other questions you might have, you can visit our recently updated FAQ at https://www.terpeca.com/faq. And if you've played 100 or more rooms and aren't yet signed up to contribute, what are you waiting for? Visit https://voters.terpeca.com and submit an application today!

That's all for now. Happy escaping!
