🏗️ Got a community facility project in mind?

Corangamite Shire's Facility Design Grants Program can help sporting and recreation organisations take the next step towards making projects a reality.

The latest recipient is the Ecklin Hall Committee of Management, which has just been awarded $3,759.25 to progress designs for facility upgrades including accessible amenities, a commercial kitchen and more.

The program provides grants of up to $7,500 to help eligible organisations cover the cost of schematic designs or quantity surveyor reports for facility redevelopments and new projects. Funding is designed to help groups become "shovel ready" for future grant opportunities.

We accept applications year-round from eligible organisations.

With fire season approaching, now is the time to tidy up your property, including the nature strip outside your home. Weekly green bin collections are available until the end of the year, making it easier to dispose of grass clippings and other vegetation.

Council's annual Fire Prevention Inspections are now underway. Properties identified as fire hazards may receive a Fire Prevention Notice, and owners who fail to complete required works by the due date can be fined and charged for contractor works.

📢 Bin latch installations next week – put your bins out Skipton and Noorat!

Council’s contractor will be installing new bin latches on household red-lid and yellow-lid bins in:

🗑️ Skipton – Tuesday 3 November
🗑️ Noorat – Friday 6 November

The latches help keep bin lids closed between collections, reducing wind-blown litter and helping keep animals out. They automatically release when the bin is emptied into the collection truck.

If you live in one of these towns, please leave your 🔴red and 🟡yellow bins out on the morning of the scheduled day until the installation is complete.

If you have any questions, contact Council on 5593 7100.
