ROAD RESEALING - WHY YOUR ROAD IS BEING DONE
Council has started its 2026/27 reseal program with the regional road reseals now complete.

One question Council is often asked is “why is my road being resealed because it looks OK?”
Resealing is a preventative maintenance activity that involves applying a new layer of bitumen and aggregate to an existing road surface. This helps extend the life of the road and reduce the need for more extensive repairs in the future.

Local rural road reseals are scheduled to commence next week on sections of the following roads
- Merrygoen Road
- Cobborah Road
- Tucklan Road
- Avonside Road
- Digilah Road

Town Streets are planned to start mid to end of January 2027 weather permitting.

Affected properties will receive advance notice by letterbox drop, and updates will be available on Council's website.

Please take care around roadworks, follow traffic control directions and allow extra travel time.
