Interested in joining the IRB Crew and taking your Surf Life Saving skills to the next level?

Now’s your chance! 🌊

An IRB Crew Course will be running in December, providing a fantastic opportunity to expand your lifesaving skills and learn how to play an important role in supporting patrols and rescues.

📅 Course Dates
Wednesday 2 December: Dry session at 6:00 pm
Saturday 5 December: Wet session
Sunday 6 December: Wet session
Saturday 12 December: Wet session
Sunday 13 December: Wet session
All wet sessions will run from approximately 6:00 am to 11:00 am.

✅ Prerequisites
Be at least 15 years old by the final assessment date
Hold a Bronze Medallion

Are you friendly, efficient, and love being part of the club buzz? We’re on the lookout for a new Canteen Officer for the 2026/27 season.

- Casual position (Sundays during Nipper season and Event Days)
- Manage canteen operations, stock, volunteers, and serve up smiles!
- Perfect for someone who’s hands-on and enjoys a busy, community vibe.

Please see message from Town of Cottesloe regarding beach closure and shark advice.

At this stage Mosman dog beach and Leighton beach are open and we will await any further comms from these Councils.

We urge members and the public to exercise additional caution around the water.

The Club’s drone operators have been out this morning with no shark sightings reported, however please keep checking the SharkSmart WA website or app.
We will continue to undertake additional drone operations over the coming days

All Cottesloe beaches are CLOSED due to the presence of a beached dead whale on Dutch Inn Beach.
Rangers have immediately closed beaches from BEN sign CT1 to BEN sign CT54.
Please stay out of the water.
This closure INCLUDES Cottesloe main beach with the shark barrier.

A huge well done to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to completing this challenging course. Our group experienced it all, from the cold and wind to beautiful sunshine! ☀️🌬️

📢Attention Nipper Parents! The 2026/27 Season is fast approaching, and the annual Nipper Proficiency Swim is getting closer!

Sunday 25th of October we will be at Fremantle Leisure Centre and we are excited to get the season started in the pool.
Please see the timeslots for your age group below or contact the club if you are unable to attend.

GROUP 1 - sign in by 8:45pm and start swimming at 9:00am sharp.
Under 13s – Lane 4
Under 12s – Lane 3
Under 11s – Lane 1&2
GROUP 2 – sign in by 9:30am and start swimming at 9:45am sharp.
Under 10s – Lane 4
Under 9s – Lane 3
Under 8s – Lane 1&2

✅If you can assist with water safety that would be fabulous (if you hold Bronze or Surf Rescue Certificate).

Swim must be completed regardless of the Nippers swimming lesson level. Under 6 & 7 age groups require a parent to be 1:1 with a child always, therefore there is no swim proficiency for these age groups.
