Socialist Alliance is officially registered for the upcoming Victorian State Elections in November.

Our name and logo will appear on the ballot when voters go to the polls.

We would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who supported our registration efforts. This was an incredible effort given how undemocratic the laws are towards small parties like ourselves.

If you would like to get involved in our election campaign and volunteer feel free to message our page or sign up using the volunteer form on socialist-alliance.org.

Socialist Alliance will be launching our Broadmeadows state election campaign featuring our candidate Sue Bolton.

Sue Bolton is a veteran socialist activist and currently serving her fourth term on the Merri-bek City Council.

Bolton has a stand-out record of working with residents and communities to empower them to stand up for their rights. She has won victories that include saving the outdoor pool in Fawkner and won council support to end contracts with companies supporting the Israeli military

The campaign launch will be a great opportunity to get involved in the campaign and hear about our socialist vision for the State Elections.

We will need help with activities in the lead-up to election day including: campaign stalls, handing out on pre-poll & polling day, letterboxing, putting up a yard sign, doorknocking and donations to the campaign. Every little bit helps get our message out there.

Socialist Alliance State Election Campaign: Broadmeadows Election Launch, Saturday 3 October 2pm, Fawkner Seniors Citizen Centre, 77 Jukes Road, Fawkner.

Join this upcoming forum exploring the interconnections between Artificial intelligence and militarism.

Tuesday September 22, 6:30pm (dinner from 6pm) @ Kathleen Syme Library, 251 Faraday Street, Carlton, Multipurpose Room 2.

SPEAKERS

Dom Williams, Socialist Alliance.
Mercedes, Renegade Activists.
Speaker from AI Safety Symposium.

AI technologies have been used by the US & its allies to commit atrocities in Gaza, Venezuela & Iran. The roll-out of mass surveillance, autonomous weapons & automated targeting systems abroad goes hand-in-hand with increasing miltarisation within liberal-democratic societies such as Australia.

Meanwhile imperialist nations & tech industries make massive profits by expanding technologies dependent on the ruthless exploitation of global-south workers into almost every sphere of life.

For working people, AI & militarism means killing, poverty, exploitation & the destruction of the planet.

It is no surprise that people struggling under below-poverty Centrelink payments are dying; this is state violence. Everyone has the right to a safe and secure standard of living. We need to take back the wealth from the billionaires, raise Centrelink payments, create decent jobs and lift wages!

Socialist Alliance is hosting our Pascoe Vale Election Launch this coming Saturday September 5, 2pm-4pm at the Anatolian Cultural Centre, 195 Sydney Rd (walking distance from Moreland station & route 19 tram).

Attending our campaign launch will be a great opportunity to meet other supporters and members.

We need as many people as possible to help us get the message out that if people really want to vote against the establishment and the big corporations, they need to vote for the left – Socialist Alliance – and not the right.

Our first leaflet is ready for letterboxing and the yard signs are ready to put up on people's fences.

We also need help with campaign stalls, handing out How to Vote leaflets at early voting centres and on election day and doorknocking.

We also need donations to get our anti-billionaire politics out.

If you can't make it to the launch, let us know if you are able to help out in the campaign and how you would like to help by messaging the page!
