With so much change happening across the NDIS, we know many participants, families and support coordinators have questions about SDA funding, plan reviews and finding the right home.

Mount Barker you showed up! Let’s talk SDA and SIL in Mount Barker was a hit 🙌

Hosted by Vera Living and Claro in a brand-new 2-bedroom shared Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) home in the beautiful Adelaide hills, guests enjoyed insightful presentations from guest speakers followed by morning tea.

Key insights shared on the day included:
✅ Scarlett Field from ADAI on the importance of advocacy is crucial and why participant voice must sit at the centre of everything we do.
✅ Frank Maffia from Claro explored Navigating complex SIL transitions to ensure safety and positive outcomes
✅ Cel Stowers from Vera Living spoke on the impact of SDA on NDIS participants’ lives, from enhanced independence to wellbeing

Attendees then had the chance to ask the experts their questions, before enjoying morning tea whilst networking, and a tour of the home.
