Our vision is for an exemplary school, living according to Christian values, respecting Serbian tradition, encouraging progressive thinking, providing quality learning, preparing children for a full life.

27/10/2026

At the conclusion of the consecration of the Nativity Chapel at our College, our founding principal, Mrs Anastasia (Anne) Nicolaou received the highest award of the Serbian Patriarchate, that being the St Sava Medal. His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije draped the cravat around the neck of our beloved founding principal Mrs Nicolaou before the Holy Altar in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan, visiting bishops and clergy and a delighted congregation. The Award Charter reads: ‘In recognition of exceptional service and an immeasurable contribution to the establishment and organisation of St Sava College, the first day school in Australia, as well as to fostering and enhancing the reputation of the Serbian Orthodox Church within Australian society.’ God grant her many years.

Following Divine Liturgy on Sunday the 18th, a massive crowd gathered around His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije and His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan on the field where the Foundation Stone for Stage 3 of construction was laid. Flanked by the NSW Premier The Honourable Chris Minns and the leader of the Opposition Mrs Kellie Sloane MP, and other parliamentary dignitaries, most notably the member for Leppington Mr Nathan Hagarty, and following the blessing and laying of the foundation stone, our political leaders delivered inspiring speeches, clearly moved by the presence of thousands of members of our community gathered to mark this historic occasion. His Holiness joined the student cohort in song and so began a day of festive celebration.

Saturday the 17th of October will forever remain a truly memorable date in the life of our school. The student cohort led by our shepherd, His Eminence Archbishop Siluan, welcomed with song the plentitude of clergy, most notably His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije and entourage, together with the throngs of faithfull who gathered for the consecration of our Nativity Chapel. During the course of a God-given brilliant spring day, His Holiness mingled with the faithful and enjoyed a wonderful programme of folkloric performances and fun-filled activities. An exceptional day to be remembered for all time.

22/10/2026

On Friday evening at the conclusion of vespers, on the day before the consecration of our Nativity Chapel, Their Eminences Siluan and Longin prepared the Holy Table for the reception and placement of holy relics. In the ancient liturgical tradition of the Orthodox church this preparation involves the cleansing of the Holy table, whilst the relics remain until morning before the icon of Christ, in the icon screen.
