On Friday, we had volunteers from Stewart McKelvey come to Grace House to volunteer as part of United Way’s Day of Caring! Their team spent the day painting picnic tables and organizing donations.
We are incredibly grateful for their time, hard work, and commitment to giving back to the community.
Thank you Stewart McKelvey and United Way for your support and generosity! ✨

Creating space for creativity, connection, and self-expression! ✨
Our Transition Planner at Grace House recently hosted a Painting Club, providing residents the opportunity to gather, paint freely, and explore different art styles in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Through creative activities like this, residents can express themselves, reduce stress, and enjoy positive social interactions in a supportive environment!

One of the individuals who moved into our new Supportive Housing Units left this meaning note on the fridge. This note means so much. It represents safety, stability, belonging, and the feeling of finally having a place to call home.
Moments like this remind us why we do what we do! Seeing clients feel supported, at peace and at home means so much.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make these units possible and proud to continue supporting individuals on their journey! 🏡

We are so proud of these units, the collaboration with Social Development to make this project possible and the work our staff have done to get the units ready! 🏡

On Friday, we received a donation at Grace House from Hilary and Maya, two Fredericton High School Students. For their civics actions class, they chose to fundraise to purchase items in need and donate funds!
Thank you both for your hard work on this initiative, for thinking of others in your community, and for supporting The Shelters. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated! ✨
