On Thursday, June 11th, we held our Father’s Day event celebrating the men of York Care Centre with a mini car show in the front parking lot, music by Kevin Anderson & friends, and ice cream floats.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thanks to the Pizza Boys Wednesday Night Cruise for their continue support, sharing their vehicles for our residents to enjoy.

We are so pleased to welcome three guinea pigs, the Golden Girls, to their new home at York Care Centre!

Rose, Blanche, and Dorothy are settling into Dixon, bringing joy and smiles to residents who are enjoying their gentle company.

A huge thank‑you to the Fredericton - Fire Department for stopping by York Care Centre today with one of their trucks. Our residents and Adult Day Program YCC participants had such a wonderful time chatting with the firefighters and getting an up‑close look at the truck.🚒

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the first concert in our Summer Concert Series featuring The Town Cats!

What a fantastic evening with great music and lots of dancing! We were thrilled to welcome more than 400 people, including over 100 York Care Centre residents!

Be sure to mark your calendars for the next concert in the series on Monday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. when Country Classics takes the stage. We look forward to seeing you there!

York Care Centre is looking for volunteers with a Class 4 or lower driver’s license to help drive our 24‑passenger bus. This role includes logging mileage, assisting with the wheelchair ramp, and securing wheelchairs using the proper equipment.

Training will be provided for all procedures, and volunteer times will vary based on availability. **Please note you must have a valid Class 1, 2, 3 or 4 driver's license**

Trips may include shopping outings, picnics on the green, scenic drives within a 100 km radius, or short outings for ice cream or coffee.

If you are interested in supporting our residents and helping them stay active and engaged in the community, we would be happy to hear from you. Last week, we rolled out the red carpet to honour some exceptional members of our York Care Centre team at our Retirement Celebration and Years of Service Awards.

We recognized the retirement of James Ward and honoured 25 years of dedicated service from Stephen Borden and Christa Brewer, an incredible milestone and a testament to their commitment to our community.

Thank you to each of you for the hard work, compassion, and professionalism you bring to York Care Centre. Your contributions make a lasting difference.

⚠ Summer Concert Series Update ⚠

Due to rain in Monday's forecast, the outdoor Summer Concert Series scheduled for Monday, June 15th at York Care Centre has been postponed to Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 pm. The concert will take place in the York Care Centre front parking lot.

We’re holding out for the sunshine in Tuesday’s forecast and look forward to enjoying the music together. It’s always more fun in the sunshine 🔆

We’re excited to welcome two very special new residents to York Care Centre, Billy and Goat!

Billy and Goat arrived from the Oromocto and Area SPCA on May 25th. They are approximately one year old and are believed to be brothers. Billy is completely grey, while Goat sports adorable white paws that make him easy to spot.

Residents have been delighted watching the pair curiously explore their new home in Birch Grove.
