The generous ladies at St. Augustine’s Prayer Shawl Ministry brought a little warmth to this chilly week by dropping off an assortment of handmade baby blankets and hats. We’re sure each item was made with love, and we’re so thankful to be able to share these thoughtful gifts with our clients.

We’re grateful when someone thinks of us when donating, but some gifts carry special meaning. Recently, we received a donation in memory of an infant loss. We’re honoured to have been part of remembering that little life and thankful for how these items will bless our clients. Thank you!

Our Baby’s First Year class had a special guest speaker last week who taught participants the basics of infant CPR, an essential skill for every new caregiver to know!

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month—a time to remember and support those who carry this invisible grief. If you’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or any pregnancy-related loss, you don’t have to face it alone. The Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre provides free, confidential support through our Grief and Loss program, with caring staff who will listen and walk beside you every step of the way.

Seeing young people step up and give back to their community is one of the most inspiring and encouraging things to witness.

Recently, Biol and her friends planned a fundraiser bake sale for the LPCC. Despite the wind on the day of the bake sale, they were able to raise $124 to donate to the Centre. We are so thankful for their generous donation, but even more encouraged to see them taking initiative and finding ways to make a positive impact in their community.

Our drop-in playgroup has been extended into the fall!

Our clients are invited to join us for a drop-in family playgroup, happening every Thursday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. This playgroup is a fun opportunity for children to play, explore, and connect while parents and caregivers enjoy a welcoming space to meet others.

Expecting a baby? We’d love to have you join us!

We’re excited to launch Birth Unafraid, a new four-session prenatal education program designed to help expecting parents prepare for birth with greater peace and confidence. Open to LPCC clients and community members! The program includes optional Christian faith-based content.

Dates: Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 10 & Nov 17
Time: 6:15–8:30 p.m.
Location: 118 8 St S, Lethbridge
Cost: $150.00 (Your spot is reserved once payment is received. A fee subsidy is available for a limited number of LPCC clients.)
