This week was a very busy week at the Centre, with many special activities leading up to Mother's Day, and acknowledging Mental Health Week. Not pictured here, but clients also enjoyed ceramic painting, and a crochet workshop thanks to Fil-Anthropy Ottawa.

This Mother's Day we honor all the different forms that nurturing love takes. We know our clients felt love from our community this week, as many of them look forward to celebrating their first Mother's Day with their babies. Thank you for the support, we are truly grateful.

At Youville Centre, Mother’s Day is a very special occasion — so much so that we celebrate it all month long; for all of May 2026!

This May, we are happy to introduce Julie, a former client from 2010-2011 who has kindly shared her story for our campaign this year. As a mom, what Julie wants most in this world is for her child to feel safe, secure, and loved. Julie’s journey at Youville Centre allowed her to provide opportunities for her daughter to grow, thrive, and learn; and she is growing up with a bright future ahead of her.
Julie didn’t do this alone — help from donors like you made it possible.
