As the Omnibus Bill C-39 advances, we are deeply concerned about its implications for First Nations rights, Indigenous jurisdiction,environmental protection, and workers’ rights.

Bill C-39 is being quickly rammed through parliament and could become law (or pass) by early November. We urgently need to unite the fights to stop this Bill.

We are calling for solidarity across our movements to stand together to uphold First Nations jurisdiction, protect the environment, and defend workers’ rights.

Today is Election Day! Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

With attacks to our right to strike coming from the Federal government and relentless attacks on our public services by the Provincial government, we have the opportunity to re-elect a Toronto mayor who will protect the public services our members rely on.

The choice in this election is clear. We can choose between closing libraries or not, transit service cuts or not, building affordable housing or not, risking the privatization of water or not. By re-electing Olivia Chow and electing a progressive city council, we can protect the services people rely on from conservatives who want to cut them or sell them to the highest bidder.

Polls show this will be an incredibly close election, and every vote will make a difference. When workers show up, we make the difference.
