💙💜💚 This week, The Honourable Jenny Kwan, Member of Parliament for Vancouver East, visited Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House and presented us with a wonderful gift: a certificate recognizing and honouring our 50th Anniversary Celebration.

💊 As the weather cools and flu season picks up, Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House is partnering with Mount Pleasant Pharmasave to host two vaccine clinics open to everyone!

The flu and COVID vaccines will be available at MPNH (800 E Broadway, Vancouver) on:
Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026 from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026 from 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Please help spread the word!

Note: this clinic is open to BC residents with an active Medical Services Plan (MSP).

Register with the front desk team by calling us at 604 879 8208. Drop-ins are welcome space permitting.

💙💜💚 For our thirty-eighth story in 50 Stories for 50 Years, we highlight Oficina Curumim’s (.curumim) journey with Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, where Brazilian families have come together for 13 years to preserve their language, celebrate their culture, and pass their heritage on to the next generation.

Through Portuguese-language learning, stories, music, arts, games, and cultural celebrations like Carnival, Oficina Curumim helps children embrace their Brazilian identity while growing up in Canada. The program also creates meaningful connections among parents, building a strong and united community. Their story celebrates the importance of cultural identity, belonging, and creating a welcoming space where diverse communities can share their traditions and thrive together. 💙💜💚

💙💜💚 For our thirty-sixth story in 50 Stories for 50 Years, we recognize the meaningful partnership between Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House and ReUseTech BC (), creating greater access to technology and digital learning for newcomer families.

Through refurbished laptops and hands-on technology workshops, Spanish-speaking caregivers gained the tools and confidence to navigate school platforms, communicate with teachers, and stay connected to their children’s education. This partnership demonstrates how organizations can come together to remove barriers, strengthen belonging, and create meaningful opportunities for families to thrive. 💙💜💚
