Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know that your spine changes as you grow?

We're born with approximately 33 vertebrae, but as we develop, some of those bones fuse together to form the sacrum and coccyx.

That's why the adult spine is typically described as having 26 bones!

Your spine is an incredible structure that helps support your body, protect your spinal cord and allow you to move.

A little spine trivia to start your Halloween weekend!

Move More Monday | Keep Moving as the Weather Changes

Cooler temperatures, shorter days and unpredictable Manitoba weather can make it tempting to stay indoors. But changing seasons don't have to mean putting movement on hold!

Whether it's bundling up for a walk, trying and indoor activity or finding small ways to move throughout the day, there are plenty of ways to stay active as the seasons change.

Regular movement helps support spine health, mobility and overall well-being.

Change the routine, not the goal.

Make movement your own!

Movement doesn't have to mean going to the gym or following a fitness routine.

It can be a walk with a friend, time in the garden, dancing to your favourite song or simply finding a few moments to move throughout your day.

What matters is finding activities that work for your body, your abilities and your lifestyle.

This Move More Monday, remember that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to movement.

Your movement. Your pace. Your way.
