Today marks the beginning of the fifth year of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

In a video-message, Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger reflects on four years of immeasurable suffering, destruction and relentless attacks against the Ukrainian people.

In recent months, Russia’s brutal strikes have once again deliberately targeted critical infrastructure, aiming to leave people in the cold and in the dark during one of the harshest winters in years.

Austria reiterates its clear position: We urge Moscow to use the ongoing peace talks credibly and pave the way for a just and lasting peace: peace that will ensure the security of Ukraine as a sovereign, independent and prosperous country.

🇦🇹 Austria stands in solidarity with Ukraine.
