STRENGTHENING AVIATION SECURITY THROUGH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT! ✈️

We are proud to announce that eight of our Aviation Security Officers have recently completed the ICAO - International Civil Aviation Organization Airport Supervisors Course, held from 13–22 October 2026.

Facilitated by the Civil Aviation Authority of NZ and the Aviation Security Service, in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji , the training equipped participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively supervise, manage and monitor aviation security operations at airports.

The course aligns with ICAO Annex 17 and the ICAO Aviation Security Manual (Doc 8973), strengthening participants’ capabilities in supervising daily aviation security operations and checkpoint screening, monitoring staff performance, maintaining quality control, and ensuring compliance with applicable security regulations.

Upon completion, participants are equipped to take on supervisory responsibilities, helping uphold the safety and security of passengers, crew, ground personnel and the wider public.

We are incredibly proud of our Aviation Security Officers’ dedication to professional growth and their continued commitment to maintaining high standards of aviation security in Fiji. 🇫🇯

💗🎗️ TOGETHER FOR PINKTOBER — RAISING AWARENESS, SHOWING SUPPORT! 🎗️💗

Our Suva and Nadi offices came together to celebrate Pinktober with special morning teas, with staff proudly wearing pink, white and black in support of breast cancer awareness. 💗🤍🖤

Beyond the morning tea and the pink attire, the occasion was an opportunity to stand together for an important cause and show our support for those affected by cancer.

As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, Wormald Fire & Security and Guardforce Fiji made contributions to the Fiji Cancer Society to support its ongoing operations and enable the organisation to continue its meaningful work. We were also proud to see many of our staff making their own contributions to the Fiji Cancer Society's donation can, demonstrating the generosity and compassion of our team. 🤝💕

Congratulations to our Aviation Security Officers Lusiana Sabua, Vasemaca Delana, Jaini Vuniwaqa, Onisimo Kuru and Viliame Tamanikainasau, who have successfully obtained their Level 3 Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji Aviation Security Screening Certificates after passing their Aviation Screening Examination on the first attempt on October 2nd! 👏🎉

The Level 3 certification covers all three key areas of aviation security screening: Access Control, Cabin Baggage Screening (CBS) and Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) — demonstrating the knowledge and competency required across these essential security functions.

Their achievement reflects Guardforce Fiji's commitment to professional development and maintaining the standards required to help keep Fiji’s aviation environment safe and secure.
