*** ROADS UPDATE REMINDER ***
Due to repairs to public sewer works being carried out by Scottish Water, part of North Esplanade West is to be closed from 9am TODAY (Wednesday 3 June).
The closure is between the junctions with Stell Road and Market Street and is until 6am on Friday 5 June.
An alternative route is available via Stell Road and Poynernook Road. The existing one way system on Poynernook Road will be suspended to allow two-way traffic.
Any queries regarding the restriction should be directed to Contraflow on 01738 449901 or [email protected].

Voters should check that their registration is up to date for two forthcoming by-elections, the UK parliamentary by-election for Aberdeen South (polling day Thursday 18 June) and the Local Government by-election for George Street/Harbour (polling day Thursday 25 June).
Remember to update details if you have recently changed address. Please be aware there is a separate registration process for voting by post at UK Parliament elections so you may have voted by post at last month’s Scottish Parliament elections without currently being registered to vote by post in the Aberdeen South by-election. To check the status of your registration, please contact the Electoral Registration Officer. For the Aberdeen South by-election, the deadline for new postal vote and postal proxy applications, and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes is 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June.
