We can confirm that Dean Williams will step down from his role as Chairperson on August 1st, 2026, following the conclusion of his three-year term.
Since taking on the role in 2023, Dean has helped guide The WFA through a significant period for Powerchair Football across England, including the implementation of the association’s three-year strategy, the introduction of the WFA Benevolent Fund, strengthened partnerships, and continued growth across the sport.

Ed Common’s strike in the 2025/26 John Good Group WFA Cup Final saw him reach 400 career goals at club level in England, becoming just the second player after Jon Bolding to achieve the milestone! 💥
His 400 goals are made up of 364 league goals and 36 goals across cup and play-off competition, with 335 scored for Northern Thunder and 65 for Teesside PFC! 👏
